So, we have a chargify product in testing mode, and we noticed that the email that goes out always says that there is an outstanding balance.

Dear {{name}}

You were just charged {{product_price}} for {{product_name}}.

{% if balance_in_cents > 0 %} The outstanding amount for your subscription is {{balance}}.
{% endif %}

Cheers,
{{merchant_name}}

Here's what I receive after successful subscription:

Dear James

You were just charged $39.95 for Basic.

The outstanding amount for your subscription is $39.95.

Cheers,
ReadySiteBuild

    I just had a similar issue, except in my case the "charged {{product_price}}" was showing what the customer will be charged at the end of the trial and the {{balance}} was showing the setup fee the customer was charged at signup.

    Thanks Nathan.

    Something's changed, but I don't think it's perfect yet.

    Here's the text of the new receipt e-mail using the default template:

    > Dear D
    >
    > You were just charged $375.00 for FCVTV 1-Year Bronze Package.
    >
    >
    > Cheers,
    >
    > The Woople Team

    I'm also attaching the receipt of the order, which is a subscription that is supposed to charge the customer the above-mentioned $375.00 at the end of a 7-day trial. The $850.00 is an upfront setup fee.

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Chris,

    Thanks for the feedback. Looks like the issue you are experiencing is a separate issue. I'll look into it.

    Hi Chris,

    Just wanted to update you...

    I know Nathan solved a bug yesterday that was very similar to this, if not the bug.

    Nathan is out today but will be back tomorrow to resume this thread.

    Thanks.
