What constitutes a paying customer?
Our tiered pricing model is based on how many paying Customers and free Users you have.
-
Your paying Customers are what you mainly pay for, as shown on our Pricing page. A paying Customer is one of your users who paid you any amount through Chargify during his billing cycle. If you charge him $10/month, then his billing cycle is 1 Month. If you charge him $100/year, then his billing cycle is 1 Year, etc.
-
Your free Users are almost free, also as shown on our Pricing page. A free User is one of your users who did not pay you any amount through Chargify during his billing cycle.
For instance, If one of your users starts out as a free user for and then upgrades to one of your paid plans in their 3rd month, then they become a paying Customer in Month 3 and will move from the Free User count to the Paid Customer count.
